All in all a nice AUD pull of a below average show. The first set is a mess: short, uninspired, Jerry's guitar sounds like a stranger to him. Second set is probably the best set they played at this very underwhelming opening year run in Oakland that at times seemed like an open rehearsal. The Aiko is high energy and the first pre-drums Other One since 9/3/85 seems energized by the placement, wonderful bass bomb from Phil at the intro - Phil sounds great throughout. The drums is cut which is unfortunate but the rest of the set sounds quite good if you can get past the "Take Two" vibes with Bob, Vince, Jerry, and Phil's new songs all getting prime positioning in the 2nd set - for me, aside from the future promise hinted at with "So Many Roads", it's a challenge.
